In most cases, no referral is required to see a podiatrist. You can schedule an appointment directly if you are experiencing foot or ankle pain, injuries, wounds, or nail problems. Some insurance plans may require a referral for coverage, and our staff at Heel & Toe Podiatry is happy to help verify your benefits.
A podiatrist specializes in diagnosing and treating conditions of the foot, ankle, and lower leg, including:
• Heel pain and plantar fasciitis
• Ingrown and fungal toenails
• Bunions, hammertoes, and flat feet
• Sports injuries and fractures
• Diabetic foot care and wounds
• Neuropathy and circulation issues
At your first visit to Heel and Toe Podiatry, we’ll talk about your symptoms and medical history, examine your feet and ankles, and check your gait or balance if needed. If necessary, we’ll take X-rays and create a personalized treatment plan just for you. Our goal is to make sure you feel comfortable, informed, and cared for.
