Dr. Johnston is a native of Findlay, Ohio, where he was raised on his family’s 150+ year-old farm.  He received his bachelor’s degree in Biology from Bowling Green State University and studied podiatric medicine at the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine, in Cleveland, Ohio.    

     Following medical school, Dr. Johnston completed a three-year surgical residency in New York City with the Department of Veteran’s Affairs.   He has been working for another local practice for almost 10 years. 

     Dr. Johnston started Heel and Toe Podiatry in January of 2023 and is excited to be providing high quality foot care in the Perrysburg and Toledo Area. 

     Dr. Johnston enjoys a wide variety of hobbies including playing trumpet in various big bands, and musical pit orchestras, and is a huge car nut.   Dr. Johnston enjoys restoring cars, antique tractors, partaking in vintage motorsports,  and racing go-karts.  

     Dr. Johnston met his wife of 10 years in New York City while in Residency.  They moved back to north west Ohio in 2013.
